Matthew Maddox

ATTORNEY

Matthew Maddox is the principal of The Connecticut Auto Accident Law Group. His watchwords, “passion” and “intensity” not only characterize every aspect of his work and representation but also set the tone for everything that the Connecticut Auto Accident Law Group does for our clients. He learned from a very young age that he had to fight for what was fair and for what he wanted. And he is fighting still – for every single person who seeks the unique brand of advocacy that the Connecticut Auto Accident Law Group delivers.

Matthew has been in practice since 1991 and is admitted to the Connecticut Bar and the U.S. District Court for Connecticut. He and the Firm are widely respected for highly skilled representation and trial work, as well as for setting standards for advocacy.

Matthew has prosecuted and managed serious injury cases in Connecticut courts for nearly thirty years. Restoring the lives and winning the financial security of our clients drive Matthew to continually push himself and the Firm forward.

Matthew is passionate about the health and welfare of young people and has volunteered his time extensively for the past 17 years in drug and alcohol abuse prevention for youth. He is a frequent speaker at schools, parent associations, and corporations on legal and social issues, including “Marijuana: The Law and Social Policy”, and “Campus Sexual Assault and the Law of Affirmative Consent”. He is a member of the Stamford Juvenile Review Board and The Stamford Reentry Roundtable. He volunteers for DOMUS, an organization dedicated to serving disengaged and disconnected Connecticut youth. Matthew is also an advisor to the Darien Blue Wave Council and the Ram Council Foundation, both youth-led organizations devoted to health and abstinence from alcohol and drugs. Matthew is a member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and the Fairfield County Bar Association.

Matthew graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and earned a law degree from Suffolk University in 1990. Matthew is fluent in Spanish. He lives in New Canaan, Connecticut with his wife and daughter.
